Top 5 things must remember in your Cao Dai temple visit

Caodaism is a famous religion coming from Vietnam. Nowadays, Caodaism is the nearly 100-year-old religion and well-known in Vietnam; Cambodia; some countries of Europe, North American and Australia with near 6 million followers. In Tay Ninh province, Caodaism owns the most original and greatest temple in the world since it appeared in 1925. It called the “Holy See” Cao Dai temple with a sphere inside representing the Left Eye of God.

Following your trips to this Cao Dai temple, we share with you some good tips to make your temple’s visit become perfect and unforgettable. This is top 5 things you need to remember when you leave footprints on the land of Cao Dai temple:
1. Wear formal clothes, no short pants or tank top
2.   Do not take pictures inside the temple or take other photos with Caodai’s left eye as a background. However, you can take some pictures of scenes around the temple.
3. Leave your flip-flops, shoes outside the temple (Caodaists will take care for yours)
4. Taste some unique vegetarian food in many restaurants around the temple.
The vegetarianism way of Caodaists is different with Catholician or Buddhists. They have 4 levels of eating vegetarian food, such as: only eat raw fruits; only use raw fruits, beans and vegetable; only eat cooked botanical food without garlic, onion, allium chinense, chives, garlic chives; only eat cooked vegetable, fruits, milk and egg. The Caodaists also have to keep their eyes, ears, body and soul on being pure and clean.
5.  Enjoy around 20 ceremonies of Caodaism during one year, such as: Great Festival in Commemoration of God, the Holy Mother Goddess festival…. You also should visit the temple at 12pm to attend a daily ceremony of Caodaists which brings you a chance to see an exclusive aspect of Caodaism.
